Welcome 8th graders! Find links to relevant pages below.
The Kappa unit philosophy is based on the core values of King Arthur’s Court and his knights of the round table. The Kappa values reinforced throughout the year are courage, integrity, and empathy. This year will provide opportunities for each student’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
Core Values
1. Courage
Be an upstander.
Learn from your mistakes.
Be honest.
2. Respect
Treat others the way you want to be treated.
Carry yourself with dignity.
Maintain self-control.
3. Empathy
Place yourself in others' shoes.
Display genuine concern for others.
Show kindness without regard for personal glory or gain.
Homework:
Homework is due on the assigned day or on the day you return to class after your absence. It is very important that you come to class fully prepared and ready to learn.
Absence:
You are responsible individually for notes, class work, assignments, class activities, and tests, and are expected to make them up in the event you are absent. If you need help, do not hesitate to approach your teacher(s). We are here to help you become lifelong learners.
An exciting year in Kappa awaits you! You will explore, create, observe, and experiment. If you focus and try your best, by the end of the year you will be enriched by the endless possibilities that each subject area has brought to your life!
